Cloud Security Engineer
Location(s): UK Wide Salary: Circa £50,000 pro rata

Role: This role will be responsible for the security element of on Prem and cloud based new and evolving global engineering solutions, product roadmaps and standards. Delivering Infrastructure Engineering solutions to the business and technology functions. A key objective of this role will be to work with Engineering, Architecture teams, Security, Risk and Compliance functions, understanding corporate requirements for the solutions that enable the business to meet their objectives in a compliant manner. Project tasks: Manage the development, evolution and delivery of Infrastructure Engineering Security product roadmaps Keep up-to-date with Industry developments and initiatives to ensure they are incorporated into the product roadmap, when approved Ensuring Security is built into the On-Prem and Cloud designs from inception and throughout the solutions life cycle Working across all Engineering towers to ensure a consistent approach to developing and deploying solutions from a security perspective Proactively work with Architects, Security teams, Risk and Compliance teams to develop enterprise security principals and strategies that support the business development initiatives Incorporate operational ‘lessons learnt’ into designs and standards Work with Application Development colleagues to advise upon Authentication and Authorisation standards and how these should be incorporated within applications Work with teams within Infrastructure Operations to transition solutions into operational run status Work with Infrastructure Engineering leads to develop a security architecture for Cloud hosted service, incorporating mobile, IaaS, PaaS etc. Skills & Attribute: Previous experience in a Security Engineering/Architecture role Good security and general knowledge of Azure cloud and onPrem security methods Strong knowledge in Windows and Active Directory Security, Firewalls, WAFs, NGFWs etc A good understanding of networking is essential, Internet, Intranet, DMZ, Data Centre, MAN/WAN, VPN’s, Wireless, Remote Access strategies, SIEM, IPS & IDS, Encryption Security Technologies primarily running on Cisco hardware, etc. Apply: career@sam-it.co.ukwer here.
Cloud Delivery Lead (Azure)
Location(s): UK Wide Salary: Circa £60,000 pro rata
Contract Type: Permanent Ref: CLSME002
Will have 10+ years of IT work experience, with at least 5 years of technical infrastructure and cloud architecture experience in complex global environments. Preferentially has worked in a regulated business and has an understanding and experience with GxP, SOX and HIPAA. To be successful in this role you will need: Deep Microsoft Azure development, deployment and support experience. Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to lead remotely and across international cultures. Self-starter and results orientated Strong technical skills across (mandatory) Microsoft Azure and (preferably/additionally) AWS cloud technologies. Able to provide structure and organisation and drive pace and the constant delivery of results.
Licenses/Certifications: The following is a list of certifications a successful candidate may possess: Azure and AWS Solutions Architecture Certification Azure Administrator Certification AWS Dev Ops or Development Certification Azure and AWS Security.

Senior Cloud Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Engineer you will utilise your substantial experience to build new and enhance existing deployment mechanisms. You will also promote more effective cloud-based approaches to design, automation and deployment of new and existing systems, for all stages of development/testing/maintenance. You will collaborate with an exceptional team to produce targeted and effective advancements to the overall technical environment. What you’ll need to succeed You will be a highly experienced Cloud Engineer with a demonstrated background in Cloud architecture, Security, Design, Migration and process automation. Key skills required include: A strong understanding of Microsoft Azure, networking, connectivity, migration and security Strong hands-on technical experience & expertise in technology automation, implementation, integration, and/or deployment Expertise in deploying infrastructure with ARM, PowerShell and Terraform A good working knowledge of Azure DevOps Demonstrated skills in Windows and Linux Configuration management experience with tools like Ansible, Chef or Puppet Along with: An ability to understand and translate technical requirements for cloud projects Strong documentation and negotiation skills Demonstrated success in delivery of projects in a self-organising team Experience in a collaborative and continuous improvement delivery environment Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Apply: career@sam-it.co.uk
